In April 2008 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction 19th Century EuropeanArt, which included the work Sheep And Poultry Resting In The Pasture by François van Severdonck. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 9,250.00 16% above the upper estimate. With this result, Sheep And Poultry Resting In The Pasture is even the most expensive work of art by François van Severdonck that we have observed at auctions so far.
