Sold at the upper estimate price
The work Poultry in the farmyard by François van Severdonck was sold in the Pictures, Watercolours and Drawings auction at Christies in Amsterdam in September 2006. The auction ended at the price of EUR 3,000.00, which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of EUR 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by François van Severdonck - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Sheep And Poultry Resting In The Pasture, which sold at auction in April 2008 for EUR 9,250.00.

Die Arbeit Poultry in the farmyard von François van Severdonck wurde im September 2006 in der Auktion Pictures, Watercolours and Drawings bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von EUR 3.000,00 entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von François van Severdonck mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Sheep And Poultry Resting In The Pasture beobachtet, die im April 2008 für EUR 9.250,00 versteigert wurde.
