Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2000 Christies in New York held the auction Impressionist, 20th Century and Contemporary Art, which included the work Paysage de Provence by Franz Priking. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 3,055.00 (€ 3,275.09) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Franz Priking have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in March 2007 the work Still life of fruit on a table was auctioned for USD 5,760.00 (€ 4,306.86).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2000 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Impressionist, 20th Century and Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Paysage de Provence von Franz Priking zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 3.055,00 (€ 3.275,09) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Andere Arbeiten von Franz Priking konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im März 2007 die Arbeit Still life of fruit on a table für USD 5.760,00 (€ 4.306,86) versteigert.
