The work Eichkätzchen (Squirrel) by Franz Marc was sold in the Modern & Contemporary Evening Auction auction at Sothebys in London in March last year. It achieved a price of GBP 693,000.00 (€ 821,629.50), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 39%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Franz Marc achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Foxes (Die Füchse) in March last year with an auction result of GBP 42,654,500.00 (€ 50,571,710.45).

Die Arbeit Eichkätzchen (Squirrel) von Franz Marc wurde im März letzten Jahres in der Auktion Modern & Contemporary Evening Auction bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 693.000,00 (€ 821.629,50) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 39%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Franz Marc erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Foxes (Die Füchse) im März letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 42.654.500,00 (€ 50.571.710,45).
