Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Fabeltiere I (Tierkomposition I) Fabulous Beasts I (Composition of Animals I) by Franz Marc was sold in the Modern Evening Auction auction at Sothebys in New York in November 2021. The price achieved of USD 4,860,000.00 (€ 4,305,838.58) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 4,000,000.00 – 6,000,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Franz Marc achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Foxes (Die Füchse) in March last year with an auction result of GBP 42,654,500.00 (€ 50,571,710.45).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Fabeltiere I (Tierkomposition I) Fabulous Beasts I (Composition of Animals I) von Franz Marc wurde im November 2021 in der Auktion Modern Evening Auction bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 4.860.000,00 (€ 4.305.838,58) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 4.000.000,00 – 6.000.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Franz Marc erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Foxes (Die Füchse) im März letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 42.654.500,00 (€ 50.571.710,45).
