Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2000 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Pictures, Watercolours and Drawings, which included the work Poultry in a meadow by François van Severdonck. It changed hands for a price of NLG 5,851.00 (€ 2,571.89) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of NLG 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by François van Severdonck - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Sheep And Poultry Resting In The Pasture, which sold at auction in April 2008 for EUR 9,250.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli 2000 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Pictures, Watercolours and Drawings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Poultry in a meadow von François van Severdonck zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von NLG 5.851,00 (€ 2.571,89) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von NLG 4.000,00 – 6.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von François van Severdonck mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Sheep And Poultry Resting In The Pasture beobachtet, die im April 2008 für EUR 9.250,00 versteigert wurde.
