Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work The Patient Griselda by Frank Cadogan Cowper was auctioned at Christies in London in December 2015. It achieved a price of GBP 60,000.00 (€ 81,477.12), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 20%. Admittedly, works by Frank Cadogan Cowper have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Our Lady of the Fruits of the Earth in December 2011 with an auction result of GBP 469,250.00 (€ 561,993.16).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit The Patient Griselda von Frank Cadogan Cowper kam im Dezember 2015 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 60.000,00 (€ 81.477,12) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 20%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Frank Cadogan Cowper auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Our Lady of the Fruits of the Earth im Dezember 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 469.250,00 (€ 561.993,16).
