Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In March 2014 Christies in London held the auction Victorian & British Impressionist Art, which included the work Ecce Ancilla Domini! (The Annunciation), After Dante Gabriel Rossetti by Frank Cadogan Cowper. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 30,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 32,500.00 (€ 39,336.39). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Frank Cadogan Cowper achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Our Lady of the Fruits of the Earth in December 2011 with an auction result of GBP 469,250.00 (€ 561,993.16).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im März 2014 führte Christies in London die Auktion Victorian & British Impressionist Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Ecce Ancilla Domini! (The Annunciation), After Dante Gabriel Rossetti von Frank Cadogan Cowper zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 30.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 32.500,00 (€ 39.336,39) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Frank Cadogan Cowper erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Our Lady of the Fruits of the Earth im Dezember 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 469.250,00 (€ 561.993,16).
