Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Frank Cadogan Cowper could be acquired at Christies in London in December 2021 for an unexpectedly low price. In the British and European Art auction, the work Head study of a young woman, wearing a veil changed hands for GBP 1,250.00 (€ 1,490.99) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Frank Cadogan Cowper achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Our Lady of the Fruits of the Earth in December 2011 with an auction result of GBP 469,250.00 (€ 561,993.16).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Frank Cadogan Cowper konnte im Dezember 2021 bei Christies in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion British and European Art wechselte die Arbeit Head study of a young woman, wearing a veil für GBP 1.250,00 (€ 1.490,99) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Frank Cadogan Cowper erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Our Lady of the Fruits of the Earth im Dezember 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 469.250,00 (€ 561.993,16).
