Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Hanging Man by Frank Bowling was auctioned at Christies in London in January 2020. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 80,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 87,500.00 (€ 104,080.28). Admittedly, works by Frank Bowling have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Beggar No. 3 in June 2019 with an auction result of GBP 695,250.00 (€ 781,564.11).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Hanging Man von Frank Bowling kam im Januar 2020 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 80.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 87.500,00 (€ 104.080,28) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Frank Bowling auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Beggar No. 3 im Juni 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 695.250,00 (€ 781.564,11).
