Auction result well in line with expectations
The work La Pintade by François Pompon was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in May 2013. It changed hands for a price of USD 34,375.00 (€ 26,466.74) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 25,000.00 – 35,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by François Pompon achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Ours Blanc in June 2015 with an auction result of GBP 329,000.00 (€ 463,885.87).

Die Arbeit La Pintade von François Pompon kam im Mai 2013 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 34.375,00 (€ 26.466,74) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 25.000,00 – 35.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von François Pompon erzielen.
