Upper estimate price exceeded by 25 %.
In November 2019 Christies in New York held the auction La Ménagerie, which included the work Pintade by François Pompon. The »bidding war« ended at USD 43,750.00 (€ 39,704.15), 25% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by François Pompon achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Ours Blanc in June 2015 with an auction result of GBP 329,000.00 (€ 463,885.87).
