Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by François Pompon achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in November 2019. In the La Ménagerie auction, the work Perdreau rouge sold for USD 131,250.00 (€ 119,112.44) - well above the upper estimate of USD 50,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by François Pompon - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Ours Blanc, which sold at auction in June 2015 for GBP 329,000.00 (€ 463,885.87).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von François Pompon erzielte im November 2019 bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion La Ménagerie wurde die Arbeit Perdreau rouge für USD 131.250,00 (€ 119.112,44) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 50.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von François Pompon mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Ours Blanc beobachtet, die im Juni 2015 für GBP 329.000,00 (€ 463.885,87) versteigert wurde.
