Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Le chat blanc by François Batet was sold in the IMPRESSIONIST, MODERN & POST WAR ART auction at Christies in London in April 2001. The price achieved of GBP 1,175.00 (€ 1,894.25) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by François Batet achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Soirée Chez Maxim'S in October 2008 with an auction result of USD 62,500.00 (€ 49,282.45).

Die Arbeit Le chat blanc von François Batet wurde im April 2001 in der Auktion IMPRESSIONIST, MODERN & POST WAR ART bei Christies in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.175,00 (€ 1.894,25) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von François Batet erzielen.
