Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2004 Christies in London held the auction Impressionist and Modern Art, which included the work Le chapeau rouge by François Batet. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 836.50 (€ 1,203.95) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by François Batet achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Soirée Chez Maxim'S in October 2008 with an auction result of USD 62,500.00 (€ 49,282.45).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2004 führte Christies in London die Auktion Impressionist and Modern Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Le chapeau rouge von François Batet zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 836,50 (€ 1.203,95) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von François Batet erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Soirée Chez Maxim'S im Oktober 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 62.500,00 (€ 49.282,45).
