This artwork by Fiona Rae achieved an unexpectedly high price at Phillips in London in July 2020. In the New Now auction, the work Curse of the Golden Flower sold for GBP 15,625.00 (€ 17,428.50) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 8,000.00. Admittedly, works by Fiona Rae have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Figure 1i in February 2015 with an auction result of GBP 56,250.00 (€ 77,560.40).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 95 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Fiona Rae erzielte im Juli 2020 bei Phillips in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion New Now wurde die Arbeit Curse of the Golden Flower für GBP 15.625,00 (€ 17.428,50) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 8.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Fiona Rae auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Figure 1i im Februar 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 56.250,00 (€ 77.560,40).
