In October 2021 Christies held the auction Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Sale, which included the work Untitled (pale blue) by Fiona Rae. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 25,000.00 (€ 29,618.25), 39% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Fiona Rae - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Figure 1i, which sold at auction in February 2015 for GBP 56,250.00 (€ 77,560.40).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 39 % übertroffen
Im Oktober 2021 führte Christies die Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled (pale blue) von Fiona Rae zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 25.000,00 (€ 29.618,25) und damit 39% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Fiona Rae mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Figure 1i beobachtet, die im Februar 2015 für GBP 56.250,00 (€ 77.560,40) versteigert wurde.
