Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Breakpoint by Fiona Banner was auctioned at Christies in London in September 2016. The price achieved of GBP 10,000.00 (€ 11,581.24) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Fiona Banner - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Beagle Punctuation, which sold at auction in February 2015 for GBP 20,000.00 (€ 27,577.03).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Breakpoint von Fiona Banner kam im September 2016 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 10.000,00 (€ 11.581,24) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Fiona Banner mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Beagle Punctuation beobachtet, die im Februar 2015 für GBP 20.000,00 (€ 27.577,03) versteigert wurde.
