Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Sin Titulo (Dedicado À Gerardo Rueda) by Fernando Zóbel was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2021. The price achieved of HKD 2,268,000.00 (€ 242,824.94) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 1,800,000.00 – 2,800,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Fernando Zóbel - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Retiro, which sold at auction in June 2021 for EUR 859,500.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Sin Titulo (Dedicado À Gerardo Rueda) von Fernando Zóbel kam im April 2021 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 2.268.000,00 (€ 242.824,94) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 1.800.000,00 – 2.800.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Fernando Zóbel mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Retiro beobachtet, die im Juni 2021 für EUR 859.500,00 versteigert wurde.
