Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Mar de Lurín XXI by Fernando de Szyszlo was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in May last year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 44,100.00 (€ 41,095.89) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Fernando de Szyszlo - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Paclla Pampa (Campo Desolado), which sold at auction in May 2011 for USD 182,500.00 (€ 126,947.69).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Mar de Lurín XXI von Fernando de Szyszlo kam im Mai letzten Jahres bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 44.100,00 (€ 41.095,89) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Fernando de Szyszlo mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Paclla Pampa (Campo Desolado) beobachtet, die im Mai 2011 für USD 182.500,00 (€ 126.947,69) versteigert wurde.
