This artwork by Fern Coppedge achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in June 2016. In the American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture auction, the work Village Hillside sold for USD 162,500.00 (€ 147,298.77) - well above the upper estimate of USD 80,000.00. This high result makes Village Hillside the most expensive artwork by Fern Coppedge that we have observed at auctions so far.
