Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Carversville Brook by Fern Coppedge was sold in the An American Summer auction at Sothebys in New York in July 2021. It changed hands for a price of USD 47,880.00 (€ 40,357.38) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Fern Coppedge - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Village Hillside, which sold at auction in June 2016 for USD 162,500.00 (€ 147,298.77).

Die Arbeit Carversville Brook von Fern Coppedge wurde im Juli 2021 in der Auktion An American Summer bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 47.880,00 (€ 40.357,38) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Fern Coppedge mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Village Hillside beobachtet, die im Juni 2016 für USD 162.500,00 (€ 147.298,77) versteigert wurde.
