In July 2012 Christies in London held the auction Old Master & Early British Drawings and Watercolours, which included the work Jacob and Rachel by Ferdinand Bol. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 51,650.00 (€ 65,788.22), 72% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ferdinand Bol achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait Of A Boy, Said To Be The Artist'S Son, Aged 8 in July 2015 with an auction result of GBP 5,189,000.00 (€ 7,356,259.16).

Im Juli 2012 führte Christies in London die Auktion Old Master & Early British Drawings and Watercolours durch, in der auch die Arbeit Jacob and Rachel von Ferdinand Bol zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 51.650,00 (€ 65.788,22) und damit 72% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ferdinand Bol erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Portrait Of A Boy, Said To Be The Artist'S Son, Aged 8 im Juli 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 5.189.000,00 (€ 7.356.259,16).
