The work The Harem Favorite by Federico Castellón was sold in the Impressionist & Modern Art Day Sale auction at Sothebys in New York in November 2019. The price achieved of USD 68,750.00 (€ 62,392.23) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 60,000.00 – 80,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, The Harem Favorite is the most expensive artwork by Federico Castellón that we have observed at auctions so far.
