Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Goats And Calligraphy by Fang Jizhong was auctioned at POLY in Hong Kong in May 2017. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 5,000.00 – 10,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 5,900.00 (€ 673.70) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Fang Jizhong achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Goats In The Autumn Woods in October 2014 with an auction result of HKD 2,560,000.00 (€ 263,559.46).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Goats And Calligraphy von Fang Jizhong kam im Mai 2017 bei POLY in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 5.000,00 – 10.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 5.900,00 (€ 673,70) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Fang Jizhong erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Goats In The Autumn Woods im Oktober 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 2.560.000,00 (€ 263.559,46).
