Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Ewa Juszkiewicz achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in November last year. In the Post-War & Contemporary Art Day Sale auction, the work Untitled (after Élisabeth Louise Vigée Le Brun) sold for USD 1,008,000.00 (€ 976,460.33) - well above the upper estimate of USD 500,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Ewa Juszkiewicz; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Portrait of a Lady (After Louis Leopold Boilly) sold at auction in May last year with the realized price of USD 1,560,000.00 (€ 1,453,732.18).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Ewa Juszkiewicz erzielte im November letzten Jahres bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art Day Sale wurde die Arbeit Untitled (after Élisabeth Louise Vigée Le Brun) für USD 1.008.000,00 (€ 976.460,33) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 500.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Ewa Juszkiewicz; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Portrait of a Lady (After Louis Leopold Boilly) im Mai letzten Jahres mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 1.560.000,00 (€ 1.453.732,18).
