It achieved a price of GBP 352,800.00 (€ 405,112.41), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 41%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ewa Juszkiewicz - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Portrait of a Lady (After Louis Leopold Boilly), which sold at auction in May last year for USD 1,560,000.00 (€ 1,453,732.18).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 41 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Pukle (Locks) von Ewa Juszkiewicz wurde im Oktober diesen Jahres in der Auktion 20th/21st Century: London Evening Sale bei Christies in London versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 352.800,00 (€ 405.112,41) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 41%. Für andere Arbeiten von Ewa Juszkiewicz mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Portrait of a Lady (After Louis Leopold Boilly) beobachtet, die im Mai letzten Jahres für USD 1.560.000,00 (€ 1.453.732,18) versteigert wurde.
