Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Ewa Juszkiewicz achieved an unexpectedly high price at Phillips in New York in May this year. In the 20th Century & Contemporary Art Evening Sale auction, the work Untitled (after Ernst Thelott) sold for USD 635,000.00 (€ 596,020.27) - well above the upper estimate of USD 300,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ewa Juszkiewicz - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Portrait of a Lady (After Louis Leopold Boilly), which sold at auction in May last year for USD 1,560,000.00 (€ 1,453,732.18).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Ewa Juszkiewicz erzielte im Mai diesen Jahres bei Phillips in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Evening Sale wurde die Arbeit Untitled (after Ernst Thelott) für USD 635.000,00 (€ 596.020,27) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 300.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Ewa Juszkiewicz mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Portrait of a Lady (After Louis Leopold Boilly) beobachtet, die im Mai letzten Jahres für USD 1.560.000,00 (€ 1.453.732,18) versteigert wurde.
