Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Marilyn Monroe on the set of 'The Misfits', Nevada by Eve Arnold was auctioned at Phillips in London in September 2020. The price achieved of GBP 3,750.00 (€ 4,134.98) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Admittedly, works by Eve Arnold have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Marilyn, 1955-1960 in December 2008 with an auction result of USD 31,250.00 (€ 22,451.33).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Marilyn Monroe on the set of 'The Misfits', Nevada von Eve Arnold kam im September 2020 bei Phillips in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 3.750,00 (€ 4.134,98) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Eve Arnold auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Marilyn, 1955-1960 im Dezember 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 31.250,00 (€ 22.451,33).
