In November this year Christies in Sydney held the auction Photographies & Lothar Schirmer's Glamour Collection, which included the work Portrait of Isabella Rossellini during the filming of “White Nights” (dir. Taylor Hackford), Finland, 1984 by Eve Arnold. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 5,670.00 42% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Eve Arnold - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Marilyn, 1955-1960, which sold at auction in December 2008 for USD 31,250.00 (€ 22,451.33).

Im November diesen Jahres führte Christies in Sydney die Auktion Photographies & Lothar Schirmer's Glamour Collection durch, in der auch die Arbeit Portrait of Isabella Rossellini during the filming of “White Nights” (dir. Taylor Hackford), Finland, 1984 von Eve Arnold zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 5.670,00 und damit 42% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Eve Arnold mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Marilyn, 1955-1960 beobachtet, die im Dezember 2008 für USD 31.250,00 (€ 22.451,33) versteigert wurde.
