This artwork by Eve Arnold achieved an unexpectedly high price at Phillips in London in September 2020. In the Photographs auction, the work Marilyn Monroe at the gaming tables in Reno Nevada during filming of 'The Misfits' sold for GBP 15,000.00 (€ 16,539.94) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 8,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Eve Arnold; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Marilyn, 1955-1960 sold at auction in December 2008 with the realized price of USD 31,250.00 (€ 22,451.33).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Eve Arnold erzielte im September 2020 bei Phillips in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Photographs wurde die Arbeit Marilyn Monroe at the gaming tables in Reno Nevada during filming of 'The Misfits' für GBP 15.000,00 (€ 16.539,94) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 8.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Eve Arnold; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Marilyn, 1955-1960 im Dezember 2008 mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 31.250,00 (€ 22.451,33).
