Admittedly, works by Eugène Petit have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The chase; and Stalking the prey in April 2000 with an auction result of GBP 7,050.00 (€ 12,069.31).

Die Arbeit Pointers wildfowling von Eugène Petit kam im November 2021 bei Bonhams in London zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 2.295,00 (€ 2.694,55) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 53%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Eugène Petit auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The chase; and Stalking the prey im April 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 7.050,00 (€ 12.069,31).
