Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Spaniels wildfowling by Eugène Petit was sold in the British and European Art auction at Bonhams in London in March last year. It changed hands for a price of GBP 1,912.50 (€ 2,267.48) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. Admittedly, works by Eugène Petit have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The chase; and Stalking the prey in April 2000 with an auction result of GBP 7,050.00 (€ 12,069.31).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Spaniels wildfowling von Eugène Petit wurde im März letzten Jahres in der Auktion British and European Art bei Bonhams in London versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 1.912,50 (€ 2.267,48) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.500,00 – 2.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Eugène Petit auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The chase; and Stalking the prey im April 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 7.050,00 (€ 12.069,31).
