In October 2016 Christies in London held the auction Post-War & Contemporary Art Day Auction, which included the work Verso il Verde (Towards Green) by Ettore Spalletti. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 68,750.00 (€ 76,589.58), 38% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ettore Spalletti - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Azzurro, which sold at auction in June last year for EUR 201,600.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 38 % übertroffen
Im Oktober 2016 führte Christies in London die Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art Day Auction durch, in der auch die Arbeit Verso il Verde (Towards Green) von Ettore Spalletti zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 68.750,00 (€ 76.589,58) und damit 38% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Ettore Spalletti mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Azzurro beobachtet, die im Juni letzten Jahres für EUR 201.600,00 versteigert wurde.
