In October last year Phillips in New York held the auction Photographs, which included the work The Hallway from Hope by Erwin Olaf. The »bidding war« ended at USD 20,160.00 (€ 20,293.94), 68% above the upper estimate. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Erwin Olaf; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot The Hallway from Hope sold at auction in October 2014 with the realized price of USD 43,750.00 (€ 34,916.20).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 68 % übertroffen
Im Oktober letzten Jahres führte Phillips in New York die Auktion Photographs durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Hallway from Hope von Erwin Olaf zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 20.160,00 (€ 20.293,94) und damit 68% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Erwin Olaf; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit The Hallway from Hope im Oktober 2014 mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 43.750,00 (€ 34.916,20).
