Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Hope Portraits Portfolio by Erwin Olaf was sold in the Photographs auction at Phillips in London in May this year. The price achieved of GBP 12,700.00 (€ 14,776.53) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Erwin Olaf - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Hallway from Hope, which sold at auction in October 2014 for USD 43,750.00 (€ 34,916.20).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Hope Portraits Portfolio von Erwin Olaf wurde im Mai diesen Jahres in der Auktion Photographs bei Phillips in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 12.700,00 (€ 14.776,53) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Erwin Olaf mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Hallway from Hope beobachtet, die im Oktober 2014 für USD 43.750,00 (€ 34.916,20) versteigert wurde.
