Auction result well in line with expectations
The work 'Apolonia' by Erwin Olaf was sold in the The Gift of Photographs auction at Bonhams in New York in December this year. It changed hands for a price of USD 1,408.00 (€ 1,272.83) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Erwin Olaf achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Hallway from Hope in October 2014 with an auction result of USD 43,750.00 (€ 34,916.20).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit 'Apolonia' von Erwin Olaf wurde im Dezember diesen Jahres in der Auktion The Gift of Photographs bei Bonhams in New York versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 1.408,00 (€ 1.272,83) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 1.000,00 – 1.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Erwin Olaf erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Hallway from Hope im Oktober 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 43.750,00 (€ 34.916,20).
