Auction result well in line with expectations
The work (i) Dawn, The Mother by Erwin Olaf was auctioned at Bonhams in December last year. It changed hands for a price of GBP 2,805.00 (€ 3,166.57) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Erwin Olaf achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Hallway from Hope in October 2014 with an auction result of USD 43,750.00 (€ 34,916.20).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit (i) Dawn, The Mother von Erwin Olaf kam im Dezember letzten Jahres bei Bonhams zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 2.805,00 (€ 3.166,57) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Erwin Olaf erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Hallway from Hope im Oktober 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 43.750,00 (€ 34.916,20).
