Auction result well in line with expectations
In April this year Christies in New York held the auction Photographs, which included the work Young Eyes, c. 1937 by Erwin Blumenfeld. The price achieved of USD 15,120.00 (€ 13,695.65) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. Admittedly, works by Erwin Blumenfeld have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Manina, Paris in May 2014 with an auction result of GBP 80,500.00 (€ 98,937.10).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April diesen Jahres führte Christies in New York die Auktion Photographs durch, in der auch die Arbeit Young Eyes, c. 1937 von Erwin Blumenfeld zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 15.120,00 (€ 13.695,65) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 12.000,00 – 18.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Erwin Blumenfeld auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Manina, Paris im Mai 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 80.500,00 (€ 98.937,10).
