Die Arbeit Berlin, Wittenbergplatz. von Ernst Oppler kam im Juni 2018 bei Grisebach zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von EUR 3.000,00 und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 50 %. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ernst Oppler auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Doppelporträt: der Maler und Jo. im Mai 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 27.500,00.
