Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2012 Christies in New York held the auction Post-War and Contemporary Art Afternoon Session, which included the work Fractals in Shadows by Ernesto Caivano. The price achieved of USD 12,500.00 (€ 10,110.00) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ernesto Caivano - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Birds and Waterfall (I-IV), which sold at auction in November 2007 for USD 39,400.00 (€ 26,824.62).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2012 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art Afternoon Session durch, in der auch die Arbeit Fractals in Shadows von Ernesto Caivano zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 12.500,00 (€ 10.110,00) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Ernesto Caivano mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Birds and Waterfall (I-IV) beobachtet, die im November 2007 für USD 39.400,00 (€ 26.824,62) versteigert wurde.
