This artwork by Ernest Bieler achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Zurich in December 2021. In the The Swiss Fine Art Sale auction, the work Le vieux sonneur, Claude Antoine à Savièse, 1908 sold for CHF 277,200.00 (€ 267,770.60) - well above the upper estimate of CHF 150,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ernest Bieler - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Trois Jeunes Filles De Granois, 1920, which sold at auction in June 2017 for CHF 672,500.00 (€ 614,803.26).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 85 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Ernest Bieler erzielte im Dezember 2021 bei Sothebys in Zürich einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion The Swiss Fine Art Sale wurde die Arbeit Le vieux sonneur, Claude Antoine à Savièse, 1908 für CHF 277.200,00 (€ 267.770,60) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von CHF 150.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Ernest Bieler mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Trois Jeunes Filles De Granois, 1920 beobachtet, die im Juni 2017 für CHF 672.500,00 (€ 614.803,26) versteigert wurde.
