The work Vermont, July by Eric Sloane was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in April 2015. The result of USD 15,000.00 (€ 13,438.45) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Eric Sloane - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Vermont December, which sold at auction in March 2008 for USD 55,000.00 (€ 34,799.11).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Die Arbeit Vermont, July von Eric Sloane kam im April 2015 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 15.000,00 (€ 13.438,45) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 15.000,00 – 20.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Eric Sloane mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Vermont December beobachtet, die im März 2008 für USD 55.000,00 (€ 34.799,11) versteigert wurde.
