Auction result well in line with expectations
The work New England Morning by Eric Sloane was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in July 2021. The price achieved of USD 11,340.00 (€ 9,558.33) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Eric Sloane - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Vermont December, which sold at auction in March 2008 for USD 55,000.00 (€ 34,799.11).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit New England Morning von Eric Sloane kam im Juli 2021 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 11.340,00 (€ 9.558,33) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Eric Sloane mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Vermont December beobachtet, die im März 2008 für USD 55.000,00 (€ 34.799,11) versteigert wurde.
