In January this year Bonhams held the auction American Art | Bonhams Skinner, which included the work Stone Barns in Autumn by Eric Sloane. The »bidding war« ended at USD 11,475.00 (€ 10,568.24), 43% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Eric Sloane - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Vermont December, which sold at auction in March 2008 for USD 55,000.00 (€ 34,799.11).

Im Januar diesen Jahres führte Bonhams die Auktion American Art | Bonhams Skinner durch, in der auch die Arbeit Stone Barns in Autumn von Eric Sloane zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 11.475,00 (€ 10.568,24) und damit 43% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Eric Sloane mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Vermont December beobachtet, die im März 2008 für USD 55.000,00 (€ 34.799,11) versteigert wurde.
