Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Eric Sloane could be acquired at Bonhams in New York in May last year for an unexpectedly low price. In the American Art auction, the work Bucks County Barn 24 x 47 5/8 in. (61 x 121 cm.) changed hands for USD 24,225.00 (€ 22,574.78) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 25,000.00 – 35,000.00. Other works by Eric Sloane have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in March 2008 by the work Vermont December at USD 55,000.00 (€ 34,799.11).
