In April this year Christies in New York held the auction The Collector: New York, which included the work Low Tide by Eric Sloane. The »bidding war« ended at USD 13,860.00 (€ 12,554.35), 54% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Eric Sloane - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Vermont December, which sold at auction in March 2008 for USD 55,000.00 (€ 34,799.11).

Im April diesen Jahres führte Christies in New York die Auktion The Collector: New York durch, in der auch die Arbeit Low Tide von Eric Sloane zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 13.860,00 (€ 12.554,35) und damit 54% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Eric Sloane mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Vermont December beobachtet, die im März 2008 für USD 55.000,00 (€ 34.799,11) versteigert wurde.
