Auction result misses estimated price range
In May last year a collector was able to acquire the work Taos Moranda by Eric Sloane for USD 7,560.00 (€ 7,045.01). This price was achieved in the auction The American Scene including Important Photographs from the Helene Wurlitzer Foundation at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Eric Sloane have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Vermont December in March 2008 with an auction result of USD 55,000.00 (€ 34,799.11).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Mai letzten Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Taos Moranda von Eric Sloane für USD 7.560,00 (€ 7.045,01) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion The American Scene including Important Photographs from the Helene Wurlitzer Foundation bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Eric Sloane auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Vermont December im März 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 55.000,00 (€ 34.799,11).
