Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Eric Sloane could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in April 2015 for an unexpectedly low price. In the American Paintings, Drawings & Sculpture auction, the work Pintails changed hands for USD 5,250.00 (€ 4,703.46) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 6,000.00 – 9,000.00. Admittedly, works by Eric Sloane have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Vermont December in March 2008 with an auction result of USD 55,000.00 (€ 34,799.11).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Eric Sloane konnte im April 2015 bei Sothebys in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion American Paintings, Drawings & Sculpture wechselte die Arbeit Pintails für USD 5.250,00 (€ 4.703,46) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 6.000,00 – 9.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Eric Sloane auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Vermont December im März 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 55.000,00 (€ 34.799,11).
