Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2016 Sothebys in New York held the auction Contemporary Curated, which included the work Mirror (1) by Eric Freeman. The price achieved of USD 5,000.00 (€ 4,449.19) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Admittedly, works by Eric Freeman have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Red Inside Green (Happiness) in May 2010 with an auction result of USD 27,500.00 (€ 22,233.00).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2016 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Contemporary Curated durch, in der auch die Arbeit Mirror (1) von Eric Freeman zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 5.000,00 (€ 4.449,19) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Eric Freeman auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Red Inside Green (Happiness) im Mai 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 27.500,00 (€ 22.233,00).
